TK-710 is a rare Excelsior Oak Slat Antique Trunk.
This rare Excelsior Oak Slat Antique Trunk has a few cracks that I show in the
pictures. It really does little to take away from the overall beauty of this rare
antique trunk; however, I wanted to note them for accuracy.
Antique trunks were used for travel so marks and splits like this can be
expected in an antique trunk that has been around since the late 1800's.
The leather handles on both ends are in fair condition. They are original to this
antique trunk.
The EXCELSIOR antique trunk makers name is stamped into one of the oak slats
with a patent date of Jan. 7, 1868, verifying the authenticity of this oak slat
antique trunk.
It is currently in the process of being relined on the inside. I will post additional
picture when this process is complete.
This antique trunk measures 36 1/2" L x 23" D x 30" H.
This antique trunk is SOLD, which includes shipping and insurance to the 48
contiguous states.
